Dallas Ice Jets

Please join us at Polar Ice Grapevine for a game benefitting “Strikes Against Cancer” at the Ice Jets Junior game versus the Dallas Snipers Saturday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m.

We are remembering Lisa Cox, whom many of you know from GC Designs. Lisa was the Ice Jets’ resource for apparel for many years, and a fixture at apparel days for associations all over the metroplex. More than that, she was a beloved friend to many of us at the Ice Jets organization.

Lisa was diagnosed with endometrial and cervical cancer in 2009. Her son Geordon founded “Strikes Against Cancer” in her honor two years ago. It is a not-for-profit 501c organization, V-Foundation partner, and recognized by the American Cancer Society. Geordon has been the Chevy Hometown Kid of the Week, the mayor of McKinney declared a Strikes Against Cancer Weekend for Lisa and Geordon, and the City of McKinney just approved a $15,000 grant for Geordon and Strikes Against Cancer.

All proceeds from the Ice Jets Pink in the Rink night go directly to Strikes Against Cancer.
