Dallas Ice Jets

Welcome to the 2010-2011 Ice Jets Hockey season! As the new season begins, the association, coaches, players and parents all have hopes for things to come in the following eight months. Our anticipation is building as we look forward to the many exciting games and events in our future. The success of this season is determined not only by the players’ determination and development under the guidance of exceptional coaches, but also our success comes in part from setting new goals for ourselves.

As players, we encourage you to visualize your upcoming season. Picture yourself in practices, skating, doing drills, training, et cetera. Close your eyes and do it. You may feel silly, but meditate on these images. Picture yourself in games and winning. Try to imagine what the end of your successful year is going to look and feel like. Now how are you going to achieve all of this? Give yourself finite goals. Pick an area you would like to improve upon and set a goal to attain. Go on, write down your goals and place the list where you will see it every single day. Set several small and large objectives for you to reach for throughout this season. As you achieve these goals, raise the bar and reach higher. Be the best version of yourself. We are here to help you achieve your own personal goals and the goals of your team.

We too have set goals for ourselves. The Ice Jets association and coaches have several objectives for the organization this season. We are going to continue to be leaders in on and off ice training, which includes goals of aggressive new training and development in practices for our players. We also are determined to win games and take home titles for Ice Jets players, improving upon the accomplishments of our association. One of our main objectives for this season is the successful completion of the Academy’s first year. Combining academics and athletics is something completely new to the Dallas area, and we are extremely excited and proud to be innovators for youth hockey in the Metroplex.

Reaching your goals, reaching our goals - this comes with hard work and dedication. It is only with your perseverance and the continued support of Ice Jets parents and families that we will all succeed. Set your goals, prepare to succeed, and have a fantastic 2010-2011 hockey season!
